Shadow in IE

I am also having trouble with creating a drop shadow for IE browsers. Of course in all other browsers the drop shadow looks great, but there is no drop shadow in IE.

So I found this online:

.shadow {
display: block;
position: absolute;
top: 0px;
left: 5px;
width: 820px; /* match target width */
height: 110%; /* match target height */
z-index: 1;
background: #000;
filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Blur(PixelRadius='15', MakeShadow='true', ShadowOpacity='0.40');
}

After tweaking width, height, top and left, it should look good, but it is on top of everything else. So I have a big grey box with a blurry edge.

I would appreciate any help :)

Sorry for the mix up in the code above, I couldn't find how to post code.

Oh, looks like the code brackets were added automatically, or someone added them. Thanks!

Ideally I would like the shadow to look like the one that already works for the other browsers like here www.segufixshop.eu.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the link. I had tried this and other methods, but they didn't seem to work for me. I guess the problem was, that I wanted the shadow to appear around the content wrapper and not just an image or a box.

But I did actually come up with a solution that not only produced a good looking drop shadow, but also grows and shrinks in length with the content wrapper.

Jason, could you open a support ticket, I would like to ask you a question? (not for support)
