before beginning with dynamic sweet, you will want to set up a local testing server. You will also need to set up your Dreamweaver site for dynamic development.

on the learning resources page, there are tutorials to walk through setting up the testing server for either Windows or Mac. There is also a tutorial for setting up your Dreamweaver Site.

the learning resources page can be found here:

If you are planing to use DataAssist, you will need a database and to configure the database connection.

we offer a free database for eCommerce here:
ecommerce-database/
the learning resources page has details on configuring the database connection.

Beginner question 1

Jason,

After 12 days I finely have Apache, PHP and Mysql installed and working. I have some very basic questions.
I need to show my boss that your programs will fit his needs and i know they will with your help (customer service is very important to him)
My thought was to use one of your data bases and upload is to our test site so he can see it work. I think if I use the
“digital_ goods.sql” for the test.
I need to show before Thursday 2/16/2012 or he will want a refund (if this happens it falls on me 100% not you product).
Questions:
In your pdf "How to import a MySQL (.SQL) file to your database" under " What Do You Need to Start" I will be using "MySQL Workbench 5.2 CE" to do this when it asks for " An empty MySQL database already create" Now the question Where do i make this?

I'm sorry the such a basic question and i'm afraid there will be more

the SQL file creates tables in your database.

where the it says:
"An empty MySQL database already created"

this means you need to create a Database, and have that selected as the active database before running the sql file, this tells MySQL what database to create the tables in.
