Prefill Region field based on State/Providence

Hi,

Our clubs membership is divided into Regions of the country defined by specific States & Providences. A 6th Region "International" specifies members outside the US & Canada.

The problem I am having with my WA DA User update page is that when a member moves to another State which is located in another Region they may forget to update the Region field or may not know which Region to select.

How can I have the Region field filled automatically based on the users input to the State field?

I have a list of the States/Providences that are located in each Region and the remainder are in the International Region.

As I am not proficient with PHP please be as specific as you can with your suggestions.

you would need to manually hand code this functionality using javascript.

Would the WA Dynamic Dropdowns extension do this?

Also I'm not sure if I explained my situation clearly. The Region which I would like automatically selected from the State entered, does not have to be an editable/selectable field. It can be echoed to the cell in the form.

dynamic dropdowns _could_ do this, but is has been discontinued and is no longer supported.
