Data Assist Session variable has not value

I am using Data Assist to insert a record from a form post.
The record gets inserted properly.
I was under the impression that DA stored the returned record ID in the session variable so that UE 4.01 could use it to send the email. (My emails have no values when sent.)

However, when I try to test for that return value, it is empty.

Does DA store the last inserted record's id value in the session var or some place else?

Thanks

DA stores the ID in a session.

in the insert behavior, look in the session variable -> Save as section for the name of the session.

if you continue to have a problem send a copy of the insert page and a copy of the page you are testing for the session on.

Thanks Jason.

I got it to work by inserting $_SESSION['info_requests_id_rqt'] into a record set query that executes before the UE mail gets sent.

I don't know why it was losing things before then, except for the fact this new server is PHP5.3.8.

I noticed in the error logs that it was complaining about magic quotes being deprecated.
I turned them off via php.ini.

My question for you is what happens when code such as
$colname_rsEmailQuery = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ? $_GET['info_requests_id_rqt'] : addslashes($_GET['info_requests_id_rqt']);

gets executed with magic quotes off?
Does that part evaluate to nothing and there's no harm or does the code need to be re-written?

Any security issues in moving WebAssist code to a php5.3.8 environment?

this is a ternary expression:

(get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ? $_GET['info_requests_id_rqt'] : addslashes($_GET['info_requests_id_rqt']);

it is basicly a short form of an if statement in the form of:
(question)?true part:false part;

in this case the question is "does get_magic_quotes_gpc() return true or false?"

if it returns true, then "$_GET['info_requests_id_rqt'] " is used. if false, then "addslashes($_GET['info_requests_id_rqt']);" is used.

there should be no security concern in php 5.3.8
