Please help with currency format

Hi,
for some weird reason all of my amounts in the shopping cart are displaying ok except for the subtotal which displys like so "1019.83" instead of like so "1.019.83"....
Can't figure out what's wrong....any ideas?

I'll open a support incident so that someone can look into the code with you. I'm not really sure what could cause this.
