Help! Simple explanation wanted!

Hi,

It's the first time I try to use Power CMS, but the instructions lack full details to understand how to do it.

The instructions start with selecting content, but don't talk about a database that needs to be connected.

Are we talking about a local database with sql file that needs to be uploaded to the database on my server and how does that sql has to look.

Or can I just connect to the database on my server through Dream Weaver and the select content and then do the install on the server?!

Can someone please explain me how it works, because like most Webassist documentation it's terrible written and I don't understand it.

Thanks! David

you will need to create a database connection using Dreamweaver before using the Power CMS Builder extension. Power CMS Builder will use the database connection defined in dreamweaver and create the necessary tables.

Thanks!

That works. After the install I noticed a error on the website caused by the CMS code.

A scroll box that is scrolling content suddenly has a white space at the bottom of the conent.

This scroll box contains the content that is selected and moved to the database of course. How do I get acces to the code of the content in the database to be able to repair this?

you can use PHPMyAdmin or another MySQL GUI Tool to access the database directly.
