Custom Graphics

Is there a way to use the CSS Menu Writer but to use my own graphics? If so, is there an example on how to do it?

in the menu writer wizard, Click the define button next to theme.

On the design tab, In the background section, you can choose background images to be used for the a span and li elements of the menu link.

the a element is the left end cap, the span element is the right end cap, the li element is the center.
