Admin search on new column

I've added a column to the Db which I'd like to search from the order_Results.php page. I've tried kludging a different URL parameter but I guess I have to dig deeper. I need something like:
Admin/orders_Results.php?Search_x=0&S_OrderStatus=Hold

Any thoughts?

this is not a supported modification of power store.

it would require either hand coding, or using the DataAssist extension to modify the database search behavior on the products results page.

But of course it isn't. My intention was actually to hand code this. I had just thought that there would be a quick set of URL parameters that I could use to keep the code at least somewhat consistent. Not wishing to unravel the existing convoluted search code, I guess I'll just do it the simple way with about 2 lines of SQL. Now I remember why I never upgraded powerstore from the original version.
