The move from a local testing server to a live server

Not sure where to put this thread but since my site is based on site sculptor I've put it here.

My site will be ready to move from a local testing server to a live server soon so is there information about this process to ensure a trouble free transition? (dos and donts etc)

I've searched the forums but not found much information.

If your site uses a database, you will need to use PHPMyAdmin or another GUI tool to export the data, then import it to the remote MySQL database.

you will also need to edit the database connection file with the correct information for connecting to the remote database.

Other than that, just upload all of the files, and you should be good to go.
