Adding a Handling Charge

Adding a Handling Charge

I've been working with Dani to get our Canada Post shipping chrages synched with Paypal and we are satisfied that the charges are pretty close to actual.

However, I need to add a handling charge to our Canada Post shipping calculations.

What do the fields "Base Rate" and "per-Item Rate" refer to? Can I add a single shipping handling charge somewhere in here?

I also have eCart - can I edit Powerstore with this without screwing it up?

Thanks.

the base rate is a base charge that will be added to the rate returned by Canada post.

the per item rate is a charge, per item, that will be added to the rate returned by Canada post.

you could add your handling charge as a base rate in the Canada post shipping rule.

HELP PLEASE - Shipping charges and base rates

I was told to apply the handling charges through the BASE RATE category (on the forum), but now Powerstore is adding the shipping charges to our website generated receipts but not to the Paypal receipts - in fact shipping was not charged at all on the Paypal receipts.
PLEASE HELP
Thanks

What PayPal system are you using? PayPal payments standard? PayPal Express Checkout? or PayPal Payments Pro?
