Extension install tips

This is a list of extensions that have other extensions bundled into them, and replace those extensions.

DataAssist 2:
-- Database Search 1

Universal Email 4:
-- Digital File Pro 2

Form Toolkit 1:
-- Validation Toolkit

CSS From Builder 2:
-- Digital File Pro 2
-- Universal Email 4
-- Validation Toolkit 2
-- HTML Editor 2

To upgrade the HTML Editor version in CSS Form Builder 2 to HTML Editor 3:
Install the CSS Form Builder 2.0.1 support release 2 version first, then install HTML Editor 3

Security Assist 2:
-- Validation Toolkit 2
-- Cookies Toolkit 3

Design Extender
-- CSS Sculptor
-- CSS Menu Writer
-- Framework Builder
-- PowerCMS Builder
-- Pro Maps for Google
-- Site Import
-- Site Sculptor
-- Social Media Toolkit

Data Bridge
--CSS Button Styler
--CSS Form Builder
--DataAssist
--Digital File Pro
--Dynamic Connections
--Dynamic Dropdowns
--Dynamic Web Charts
--Form Toolkit
--HTML Editor
--Image Resizer
--SecurityAssist
--Universal Email
--Validation Tooltips for Spry

Install these extesnions last, in this order (there is no order for other extensions):
Form Toolkit
CSS Form Builder (Make sure to use the 2.0.1 support release 2 version)
HTMLEditor 3
Security Assist 2
Design Extender

NOTE: if you own Design Extender, and Data Bridge the install order should be:
eCart 5
Design Extender 1
Data Bridge 1

With the release of eCart 5.0.4 to correct a startup issue, you will need to follow these steps:
*Uninstall eCart 5.0.3
*uninstall one of the consolidation extensions (Either Data Bridge or or Design Extender)
*Install eCart 5.0.4
*then reinstall the consolidation extension that was removed.

Thanks! This should be a sticky here and posted in the downloads client area so it can be updated regularly.

Okay, I have CSS Form Builder 1, Security Assist 1 and HTML Editor 2. Am I right in assuming CSS Form Builder replaces Universal Emailer 4 and HTML Editor 2? I think I bought HTML Editor to replace iRite, which appears not to have been necessary if it was included in CSS Form Builder! Also, as I remember UE made Validation Toolkit unnecessary...

What is my status here with these earlier versions ?

Also, should Site Assist 3 and Site Assist Professional both be activated? There is no supersession note in SA Pro...

And how about compatibility or replacement by Site Sculptor and Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor?

Which are superseded ?

Site Assist 3 was replaced by Site Assist Pro (Think of Site Assist Pro as Site Assist 4 basically)

Site Assist Pro was then replaced by Site Sculptor (Think of Site Sculptor as Site Assist 5 basically)

The Site Sculptor integration in Design Extender replaces all of those stand alone versions

Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor is also integrated into Design Extender

CSS Form Builder 2 replaces CSS Form Builder 1.
Security Assist 2 replaces Security Assist 1

As listed above, HTML Editor 2 is included in CSS Form Builder 2.
HTML Editor 2 replaces iRite

"Am I right in assuming CSS Form Builder replaces Universal Emailer 4 and HTML Editor 2"

Yes, as listed above, UE4 and HTMLEditor 2 are included in CSS Form Builder 2

Of course versions 2 replace versions 1. But are HTML 2 and UE4 replaced by CSS Form Builder 1 ? I'm not ready to spend $300 on upgrades right this minute.

No, they are not replaced by CSS Form Builder v1, only by CSS Form Builder v2.

So Jason, which is correct?

Should I have only this in my extension manager?
Form Toolkit 1
DataAssist 2
CSS From Builder 1
Security Assist 2

Or those three plus these? I assume I can remove these if I had Form Builder 2 correct?
Universal Email 4
HTML Editor 3

And are any of these bundled in the above listed extensions or are these simply stand alone extensions? Are any superseded by other extensions. Do any cause issues with other extensions?
CSS Button Styler 1
CSS Menu Writer 2
CSS Sculptor 3
Dynamic Dropdowns 2
Dynamic Web Charts 1
eCart 5
Framework Builder 1
Web Standards 1
PalettePicker 1
PayPal Buttons 1
PayPal eCommerce Toolkit 4
Pro Maps for Google 1
Search for Boss 1
Site Import 3
Site Sculptor 1
Skype Button 1
Social Media Toolkit 2
Surveyor 1
Theme-It 1
Tools for Google 2
Validation Tooltips for Spry 1

Thanks,
Jared

Form Builder 1 does not include HTML Editor or Universal Email, so the stand alone HTML Editor and Universal Email extensions should be installed.

the other extensions you list are stand alone extensions, and are not bundled, i do not see any conflicts in your list.
