Remove Power Messenger from live server

Remove Power Messenger from live server

Hello,

I uploaded the entire powerMessenger folder to my server (the whole folder that I downloaded from WebAssist after making my purchase.)
Next I tried typing in PowerMessenger (replacing your domain with my domain). I followed step 2 of the readme file, "Opened browser and entered the URL to be directed to the Installation Wizard." The page was not found.

I went back and reviewed the directions again and realized that I made a mistake in uploading the whole powerMessenger folder and it contents (powerMesssenger>PowerMessenger101>PowerMessenger Files> and all the files in this folder)

Next I tried to delete the powerMessenger folder from my server. I received the attached error message attached. I host with dreamhost.

I was able to remove many of the files from my server, but not all of them.
Now I've got things really buggard. What to do next? Please advise on what I can do remove any the unessary files from my server (get past that error attached) and advise on the correct files that need to be uploaded to make installing PowerMessenger a success.

Thanks for your help,
Danielle

delete the following folders:
admin_pm
install_pm
webasssist

when you upload power messenger, you need to upload all of the files and folders in the powerMessenger/PowerMessenger101/PowerMessenger Files/ directory

Jason,

Thanks for the help. I was able to delete the admin_pm.
But the install_pm and webassist folder found inside of it can not be removed. I still get an error similar to the one I sent in my previous email. I also went inside these folders and deleted what I could.
Some folders, could not be deleted.
Attached is a file/directory tree showing my site files and I have powerMessenger expanded so you can see what files could not be deleted.

Questions.
1. What next? Any advice or should I contact my webhost?
2. Can I install powerMessenger (the correct way) now? Or do I need to wait until I figure out how to remove install_pm directory.

try using another application like File Zilla to delete the folder. you should be able to select the main power messenger folder and delete it to delete all folders under regardless of them being empty or not.
