form data to not be included if not applicable

form data to not be included if not applicable

I have an email that has a lot of info. I would like to "not show if field is empty" like you do with record sets but I am using a form data. How can I accomplish this? It is going to a database but its being posted when its submitted.

You would need to wrap areas of text in your email with IF statements.

You can do this by using the isset function for a POST variable or use the != "" condition.

if ($_POST("field name") != "") {

kind of got it..

Thanks for the reply.. not that good at this stuff.

Can you show me with data and highlight what I need to change? For example I want to hide this:
I have won 6 blue ribbons in Eq. on the flat in the following:<br />
<br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["school_6"]))?$_POST["school_6"]:"") ?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["usdf_6"]))?$_POST["usdf_6"]:"") ?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["breed_6"]))?$_POST["breed_6"]:"") ?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["iea_6"]))?$_POST["iea_6"]:"") ?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["usef_6"]))?$_POST["usef_6"]:"") ?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["rifna_6"]))?$_POST["rifna_6"]:"") ?><br />

you would need to create an if statement to check all 6 form elements:

<?php if($_POST["school_6"] != "" && $_POST["usdf_6"] != "" && $_POST["breed_6"] != "" && $_POST["iea_6"] != "" && $_POST["usef_6"] != "" && $_POST["rifna_6"] != "") { ?>

<br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["school_6"]))?$_POST["school_6"]:""?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["usdf_6"]))?$_POST["usdf_6"]:""?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["breed_6"]))?$_POST["breed_6"]:""?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["iea_6"]))?$_POST["iea_6"]:""?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["usef_6"]))?$_POST["usef_6"]:""?><br />
<?php echo((isset($_POST["rifna_6"]))?$_POST["rifna_6"]:""?><br />
<?php ?>
