HTML EDITOR selects the content wrapper

HTML EDITOR selects the content wrapper

I have occurring the strangest thing. I am working in Data Assist pages intending to add HTML editor to some text areas.
1) I select the textarea, then click the HTML Editor icon.
2) the HTML editor opens and I can clearly see that the right text area is selected.
3) I click to edit the editor (any button) and I notice that the Content Wrapper Div is suddenly selected (see picture attached).
4) if I carry on and insert the editor to the page, it then asks "add a form tag?" (see pic 02).
If I continue to add it to the page ignoring the "add a form tag", it inserts the editor but blows out all other form elements on the page and replaces it with the html editor.

What on earth could be causing this? I have deleted cache etc and the only change to extensions was the installation of the SA2 recent update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jason,
Thanks. I ended up getting out of the problem by not using the template when I ran DA again and then used a theme from the template to make the pages. All sorted.

Hi again Jason,
Sadly the problem has occurred on another site so I enclose a before and after.
The "before" is the page straight after running Data assist. The "After" is after attempting to insert the HTML editor.
I am hoping it something simple.
Many thanks in advance

i must be missing something.

I dont see any issue in your pages.

In the first page, there is only one text area for content.

in the second page the content text area is replaced by html editor.

I dont see a problem with that?

i think the issue may be that the contents element is a text area before adding html editor.

set that to be a text box instead, then add html editor.

html editor converts the text box to a text area, i think the element being a text area to begin with is causing the issue.

Hi Jason,
Talk about a trap for young players! Your diagnosis was 100% correct. Changing names fixed the problem.
Many thanks indeed - much appreciated!
