Dynamic Dropdowns and Framework Builder

Dynamic Dropdowns and Framework Builder

Hi,

I am in the process of building a CMS with Framework builder.

I have a dynamic drop down built into an 'Add' content page but when I go to create the 'Edit' page I am unable to set the values of the drop downs within the page as the body tag is not editable.

I am to assume that, as with Dreamweaver Templates, I am unable to use the Dynamic Dropdowns with creating the page first and then applying the theme (will that work even or will it overwrite the 'Body' tag?)

Cheers
Ian

Hi,

I've managed to get around this by copying over the relevant JavaScript code to the page and running the following before the end of the page.

<script>
WA_setSelectionsInChildList(MM_findObj('category'),<?php echo $row_rsfeedcontent['feedcontent_categoryid']; ?>)
WA_FilterAndPopulateSubList(rspages_WAJA,MM_findObj('category'),MM_findObj('page'),1,0,false,': ');
WA_setSelectionsInChildList(MM_findObj('page'),<?php echo $row_rsfeedcontent['feedcontent_pageidfk']; ?>)
</script>

Is there any reason why this might be bad practice?

Cheers
Ian

Ian,

that is exactly what I have done in the past and it works fine, Framework Builder doesn't pass any body events through so this is the only way to do it.

Cheers Dave, nice to hear that I wasn't alone with this one!
