Page with gallery freezes

Thread began 11/11/2011 2:43 pm by sales189614 | Last modified 11/11/2011 2:59 pm by sales189614 | 893 views | 1 replies |

Page with gallery freezes

I have PowerGallery installed on a site, any page that has a gallery on it freezes after loading and I get the error, "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

So the other issue is that the dhtml menu on the page doesn't work. So the script location the error is referring to is for the dhtml menu, so I'm sure techs will say it's the dhtml script and not PowerGallery, but that is not correct. Here's why:

Here are the same two pages, one with a gallery, one without:

With: centrifuges2.php
Without: centrifuges.php

As you can see, the page with the gallery freezes and produces the error I stated above and the dhtml menu that displays fine on centrifuges.php won't display on centrifuges2.php and the ONLY difference on the two pages is that the gallery is one the one not working.

The above error is in Firefox, the error in IE is different, and is:

Java Script Error

Description:Object required

In Safari

Now I have browsed through the forums and found the following post with a solution, showthread.php?t=19715 and I downloaded the files and uploaded them to the server, but the page still freezes.

There has to be SOMETHING in the gallery causing the issue since the dhtml menu works fine on the page without it and doesn't on the page with it and freezes. There has to be a conflict with the gallery that causes the dhtml menu to crash because the menu works fine when not used with the gallery.

Line 47 in stm31.js is as follows, just in case that is needed:

function stshst(i,n){if(i.cstt==n)return;if(typeof(i.myshst)!="undefined"&&i.myshst(n))return;i.cstt=n;with(i)if(nNN4){var ls=stgstlay(i);ls[n].parentLayer.bgColor=ibdc[n];ls[n].visibility="show";ls[1-n].visibility="hide";}else{var o=stmozb?stgobj(i.ids+"DR"):stglay(i),;if(nIEM){if(ibgd[0]!=ibgd[1]) s.background=ibgd[n];}else{stgobj(i.ids+"HR").style.backgroundColor="transparent";if(ibgc[0]!=ibgc[1]){if(nOP&&nVER<6)s.background=ibgc[n];else s.backgroundColor=ibgc[n];}if(ibgi[0]!=ibgi[1]) s.backgroundImage="url("+(ibgi[n]?ibgi[n]:stgme(i).mbnk)+")";s.backgroundRepeat=ibgr[n];}if(ibdc[0]!=ibdc[1]) s.borderColor=ibdc[n];var t;if(iicn[0]!=iicn[1]){t=nIE?o.all[ids+"ICON"]:stgobj(ids+"ICON");if(t) t.src=iicn[n];}if(iarr[0]!=iarr[1]){t=nIE?o.all[ids+"ARROW"]:stgobj(ids+"ARROW");if(t) t.src=iarr[n];}if(ityp==2&&iimg[0]!=iimg[1]){t=nIE?o.all[ids+"IMG"]:stgobj(ids+"IMG");if(t) t.src=iimg[n];}if(!i.txstyle) i.txstyle=(nIE?o.all[ids+"TX"]:stgobj(ids+"TX")).style;t=txstyle;if(itxf[0]!=itxf[1])t.font=itxf[n];if(itxd[0]!=itxd[1])t.textDecoration=itxd[n];if(nOP) stgobj(ids+"MTD").style.color=itxc[n];else t.color=itxc[n];if(nOP&&nVER>7)with(stglay(stgpar(i)).style){var v=visibility;visibility="hidden";visibility=v;}}}

Please help?!?!?
