Errors When Starting SecurityAssist

Thread began 10/17/2011 4:01 pm by mycenaean2011 | Last modified 10/23/2011 5:21 pm by mycenaean2011 | 898 views | 4 replies |

Errors When Starting SecurityAssist

After clicking on the "Create Security Pages" option, Security Assist begins to open the "SecurityAssist: Create Pages" window.

However, before that window displays, the following two errors are shown:

-----------------------
Error Message #1:

Error in generate Preview.buttons:
TypeError: wa.user_interface.preview_array[1].preview.object.setToFile is not a function
-----------------------

-----------------------
Error Message #2:

Error in generate Preview.generalTab:
TypeError: wa.user_interface.preview_array[0].preview.object.setToFile is not a function
-----------------------

After clicking the OK Button on each of the error messages, the "SecurityAssist:Create Pages" window than displays, but the button previews are not shown.

I have attached screenshots of the error messages and the SecurityAssist:Create Pages window.

Any thoughts on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
common_installation_issues.pdf

if you are still having problems, what version of Dreamweaver are you using?

What is your OS?

What other extensions do you have installed, including Version numbers?

Try uninstalling Security Assist from the extension manager, then reinstalling it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled as you suggested, and that solved the problem. The SecurityAssist window loads properly with the button previews displayed now.

Thanks for your assistance!
