link to subcategory page

I designed a new home page and put pictures of subcategories.
I would like to link each picture to the corresponding subcat. page.
I can't do this because the URL does not change, it must be in a frame.
Is there a way to do this?
It is important to my client.

the categories are pulled using a querysting variable:
Search=1&ProductCategoryID[]=26

for example:
products_results.php?Search=1&ProductCategoryID[]=26

if you use the top menu, go to Products -> Bananatree Store to select the categories, you can see the ProductCategoryID[] variable change.
