WA_Globals.php Email Server settings problem

I'm having some trouble find a value for '$WAGLOBAL_Email_Server' in the WA_Globals.php file that works for our situation.

Leaving it blank (or rather, "") doesn't seem to work. Changing it to the address of our company SMTP server won't work as that requires a login/password for access, as well as a non-standard port number (587 and not 25).

Any ideas?

In previous contact forms we've used X Mailer, any ideas what value we'd submit for Email_Server in order to use X Mailer?

You probably need to use Universal Email and change from mail to pear for sending the mail.

The default mail does not support authenticated smtp services.

What is PEAR and how do I find its path

Hello,
I am having problems with email in Powerstore.
Ticket currently running on tis and it look as if its a hosting issue with fasthosts currently.
However I wondered if I changed to PHP Mail whether sending out through my AuthSMTP account may help.
Hower on fasthosts website their knowledge base make no mention of PEAR.
I need to enter these details into Universal Emails setup wizard, what is PEAR and how do I find its path?

You can probably leave the PEAR path blank. PEAR is usually only necessary when your host requires authenication "username/password" and doesn't usually matter otherwise.

I created a support incident so that someone can call and work through this issue with you directly.

Powerstore problems with email

Powerstore IS A GREAT PRODUCT, BUT I HAVE SOME PROBLEMS, I AM A NIEWBY, 1) WITH CONTACT FORM THE EMAIL NEVER SEND, IS WORKING FINE WITH LOST PASS, AND 2) WHEN A USER IS MAKE AN ACOUNT I CAN SEE IN ADMIN PAGE ONLY THE EMAIL, NO NAME AND OTHER DETAIL OF REGISTRATION , PLEASE HELP.. AND SORY FOR MY ENGLISH. THANK YOU GUYS..

1) Most likely the problem is with spam filters. The email is probably sent but not recieved.

2) are there any errors? Do you have a URL where I can try?
