Record update or Insert Success Trigger

Is it possible to determine if a record update or insert is successful?

I wan to trigger another query based on the success of an update or insert.

the only way to tell if an insert or update was successful would be to create a recordset to lookup the information that was just sent to the database. the recordset would need to filter each column in the database on the form input.

you would need to make sure the code for the recordset comes after the insert or update.

you could then use the recordset Not Blank trigger
