Power CMS patch issue

Hi

I am having exactly the same issue as jim425930 I have applied the fix to several sites and all of them no longer have the ability to upload an image, I get the same white screen.

This is urgent as I have clients trying to update their sites and can't upload the staff pics and other things to the various sections.

Is there a quick fix for this as I am getting a lot of hassle about it.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

Cheers

Gary

The updated file is only needed for Power CMS 2.1.0, it should go in the HTMLEditor/editor/plugins/kfm folder

if you have a folder named webassist/kfm the updated file is not needed, you should revert to the original that is avaible from the download center.

Hi Jason

Thanks for that and the power gallery tip yesterday, both products are now working perfectly

Hi Support
Now I am confused, wont take much I hear you say.

>>>The updated file is only needed for Power CMS 2.1.0, it should go in the HTMLEditor/editor/plugins/kfm folder

>>>if you have a folder named webassist/kfm the updated file is not needed

On the product download page it has the PowerCMS 2: Support Fix - Potential Security Risk which contains a readme file which states:

Copy the updated file to the following location:
webassist/kfm/configuration.php

I have some PowerCMS sites with a webassist folder, others without.

Can you please clarify:

1. Which versions of PowerCMS require your security fix?
2. How to determine the version we have installed on sites?
3. Should we be upgrading from version 2.0.? up to Version 2.1.1?

Thanks in advance.

the initial patch download incorrectly had the instruction to update the files in the webassist/kfm/configuration.php folder. This was a typo when writing the initial instruction, it has since been updated in the download center to say that the files should go in the HTMLEditor/editor/plugins/kfm folder.

the correct location to place the updated file in is the HTMLEditor/editor/plugins/kfm folder.

if you re-download the known issue files, it should give the correct instructions.
