Google Maps Pro not displaying pan/zoom images

Hi
My Google Maps Pro is not displaying the Pan/Zoom buttons and shows just a white box, as does the map location pull box. The shadow is showing as a white box also. The Pan/Zoom does function without the images (but that is not the point).

I am using this on a static page - the documentation says it's OK as not using a database to collect addresses.

Where am I going wrong?

thanks,

Steven

in the screen.css file, change:

html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
margin: 0 auto;
padding: 0;
border: 0;
outline: 0;
font-size: 100%;
text-align: left;
background: #FFF;
}

I get it. But Why did the code generate this?

the CSS Sculptor layout used to create your Site pages was configured to apply a white background globally to the top level selector, this is not default behavior for the 3 Column Fixed Header and Footer layout using the CaboSunset design, I really cannot say how the background color got applied to the global selector, I have not seen that happen before.
