spam on form with captcha

Hi

I have forms using captcha, where the form action is left blank to allow universal email to redirect to a thank you page.

Have an email that has come through from@
lachmann@pc.rwth-aachen.de

Which is spam and is know as
111.171.217.166 Hallie lachmann@pc.rwth-aachen.de

(111.171.217.166)

Is there a way of prevent this?

Regards

And more

We are getting more of these spam emails, latest one from tickets@yankees.com
Is this because they are humans spamming? Need to explain to the Client why they are getting spam.

Thanks

yes, most likely they are humans filling in the form and sending the spam.

captcha can prevent spam bots from sending spam emails, but it is impossible to prevent malicious individuals from filling in the form and sending spam
