IE7 Bug - Can't select Drop Down

IE7 Bug - Can't select Drop Down

I have a website that uses the CSS menu writer to create the horizontal website.

In IE7 the drop down menu disappears before you can click on an item.

I'm sure this is a common bug, I'm just not sure about how to fix it, and not break something else.

Thanks!

Try adding a z-index value to your css for the "nav" class -- use a high number like 100. . .

neilo

The issue is likely to be the gap that appears between the level-0 and level-1 menus (currently set with a top padding of 5px).

Line 60 of your menu.css stylesheet (in the ul#cssmw > li > a, ul#cssmw > li > a:link { rule) :

padding: 5px 10px 10px 5px;

Change the top padding to zero:

padding: 0 10px 10px 5px;

Thanks - that fixed it!

On further testing, the padding fix did not actually fix the problem. Still looking for a solution.

Thanks!
