Save

When you write a message in the Newsletter , you have no automatic backup. So when you want to save you have lost the session and so you lose all what you have written.
It's a big problem. Can you think to solve this problem. Thanks

you should set the servers session time settings out to allow you more time to create the email message before the session ends.

See the following thread for details on the session time out settings of PHP:
12812.htm

You may need to contact your host to have the session time out extended.

Normally, the session does'nt end when you are typing. It has to stay alive.

to extend the session time out, refer to the thread I linked to, you may need to contact the host to implement this change.

I don't understand. If it's a general timeout problem, why i don't have it on other applications?

Because you probably don't spend so much time updating a single value in other applications... perhaps we didn't understand your original question and we are barking up the wrong tree... Let's start over from the beginning... please describe the precise problem you are having. Your original post implied that your session was timing out.... if that isn't the problem then our solution may be incorrect as well.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Normally the timeout occurs when you are not active but what happens in the case of PowerMessenger is the fact the timeout occurs even if you are typing your message. So, of course, changing the session time improve the situation but it does'nt solve the true problem.

Session Timeout length is not effected by the user interacting with the browser, it is effected by the browser interacting with the server.

even if the user is still working on the page, if there is no interaction with the server, the session will time out.
