And OR

And OR

First, I browsed the Forums to find an answer to my question. I had no luck.

Second, I have a search form that I want to have an "AND" or "OR" search capability. So, I want to be able to enter shoes and socks into the search field and return both. The column that I am searching contains only one item per row. In other words shoes and socks won't be found in the same column.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would use a drop down with ther items; shoes, socks and shoes and socks. The values would be shoes, socks, and for the third there's an operator you can use that means "All". With ASP it was a percent sign, not sure if that works in PHP. Then construct your recorder using OR that would match one of the three values.
