Trying to Sell Digital Goods But Having Problems

I am trying to set up a digital downloads section and an order history page for users of my clients site can log into and get their MP3's they paid for with PayPal. I followed the tutorials on the WA site, but there seems to be a problem.

On my confirm page, I have the SB to store cart summary in database to the orders table, but in order to do the digital download page, you need to also store details in the orderdetails table (im using the WA ecommerce database I downloaded).

Do I add the store details on the confirm page as well? When I try I get an error that says "you must set the column specified as Cart ID". I have some followup questions but I would like to tackle this first.

Thanks
John

Yes, you need to also add the store order details behavior to the confirm page.

In the store order details behavior, when you select the ID column, it is not asking for the Primary Key "DetailsID" column. It is asking for the columns that creates the order -> OrderDetails Relation ship, the "DetailsOrderId" column.

before adding the store order details behavior, go back into the Store Order summary Behavior and look at the Session Variable section.

In this section, the OrderID column should be selected as the ID Column, and make not of the name of the session variable that will be created.

When the order is stored in the database, the value of the OrderID column will be stored in this session variable.

In the store order details behavior, set the ID column to use the DetailsOrderID, with the details Order ID columns selected, click the lightning bolt next to value and expand the Session Collection, find the session variable created by the Store order summary behavior and select it.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to do what you said but it didnt store info into the orderdetails table. I have attached a couple of screen shots to show you how I have each SB (summary and details) set up. What am I doing wrong?

1) in the store order summary, you should not be assigning a value to the OrderID column

the order ID column should be set up in the MySQL database to be an Auto Incrementing column meaning the database will automatically set the value.

2) in the order summary behavior, the name of the session being created is OrderNumber

In the Store Order details, you have set the DetailOrderID column to use the session_id(), it needs to be set to use the OrderNumber session variable.
