Use PM with existing user DB?

Sally

Use PM with existing user DB?

I already have a SQL db with user names and email address' that I use to send out emails using CSS Form Builder. If I get PM for some of the other cool features, is it possible to modify it so that it will use the DB I already have as I don't want to create a second registration and user DB.

Thanks.

you would need to export the data using PHPMyAdmin or another MySQL GUI tool, then import it to the Power Messenger user table.

Can you expand on this

I have an excel spreadsheet with a few thousand email addresses I have collected over the years and would like to be able to add them to the database without having to add them one at a time. Are you able to provide quick details for me to upload the emails to the database without having to go through adding them 1 at a time.

I have limited experience using MySQL and have logged in the my PHPMyAdmin before, but if told where to look and what to do that would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Thanks,
Ernie

I found this video tutorial on you tube that goes through the basics of importing excel data to a MySQL database:
