Move from CafeCommerce to PowerStore

Move from CafeCommerce to PowerStore

Hello,

I recently pointed a client to CafeCommerce to set up her ecommerce site. I did a lot of the initial set up for her. She is now wanting a more custom looking front end. While I was working with the admin area on CafeCommerce I noticed it looks a lot like PowerStore.

My question is, when ready, will I be able to purchase and set up PowerStore and then import her orders, customers and products from CafeCommerce into the PowerStore database. I saw export options for those various categories. Just wondering if the database structures are similar?

Thanks in advance,
Twitch

Yes, in theory you should be able to import your CafeCommerce customers, products and orders into PowerStore as they do have similarities. However, we have not done testing to confirm that this would work. You might have to do some tweaking to the export from CafeCommerce in order to get it to import to PowerStore.

Once thing that is different is images, as images in CafeCommerce are stored in different tables, so imported products will not have images and the default image will be used.

Thanks for the quick reply, Dani. That is exactly why I use WebAssist products over anyone else.
