CSS Menu Writer

It seems that the css menu writer does not work in php pages or does it?

Hi Eric,

Yes, it absolutely does and developing within a PHP environment allows you to create database driven menus aswell.

if you say it works then im doing something wrong. I input the menu and preview it in the browser and nothing shows.

if you are getting a blank page, it is most likely caused by a php error.

add the following code at line 1 of your page to turn error reporting on:

php:
<?php

error_reporting
(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>



once we know the error, we can troubleshoot the cause.

please seand a copy of your page and the css menu writer folder in a zip archive so i can examine the code, also send a link where i can see the issue to troubleshot.

Eric -- this is probably a stupid question.

Are you using a Web Server (Apache, XAMPP, etc), and do you have PHP installed and running?
