Deleting default images and areas in Power Store 4.5

How can the default image next to "Your Store Message" and "Middle Pod" be deleted? I am using the CRAZY theme. I'm talking about the image of the six rectangular boxes. These don't seem to reside in and editable region.

Also, How can I get rid of the "Sample Product" the image and related text? This also seems to be uneditable. I have no interest in keeping the the most popular feature and would really just like to add some static HTML. I had thought making webassist/plugins/catalouge/popularbox.php a blank page would accomplish this but it keeps showing up. And yes, I cleared the cache.

the code for the store message pod is in the webassist/themes/crazy/templates/index.dwt.php:

you can remove the image by editing that code to:

In the Crazy theme, the "middle pod" content is the content area displayed bellow the featured product and most popular product pod, in your site, this pod is empty right now.

making the webassist/plugins/catalouge/popularbox.php file a blank page will remove the content from the most popular box, if this is not changing in your site, it would suggest that the changes are not making it up to the server.
