Pre-Payment

Hi All

My client offers a down payment type service, where customers can put 20% down and pay the rest later. I have set up a discount to remove 80% of the bill however this is done form the carts sub-total, i need it to take into account shipping costs as well.

e.g

Product Cost £1000.00
Shipping Cost: £100.00
Remove 80%: £880.00
To Pay Now: £220.00

Currently i am getting

Product Cost £1000.00
Shipping Cost: £100.00
Remove 80%: £800.00
To Pay Now: £200.00

I am using cold fusion for the cart, any ideas would be appreciated.

How are you calculating the shipping cost? I would probably account for it with two separate shipping rules.

shipping

Thanks for quick reply!

my shipping costs are complicated and done outside of ecart and then inserted into the cart array once complete, do you mean apply 80% to the shipping total if pre-order is selected?

How do you add them to the cart? Store the total in a sesison variable. Then you can create two shipping rules for full and 20% shipping. Just use math to reduce the amount in the charge flat rate field.
