PS3 Transaction Fails in PayPal

PS3 Transaction Fails in PayPal

Hi,
I have PS3 installed on shop and after much messing around I have managed to change the currency from USD to GBP after following various instructions in the forum here.

Now though, when I try to make a purchase with PayPal, the transaction fails after I have logged in to PayPal and hit the 'Continue' button after checking the transaction details etc. PayPal just returns a 500 error and everything grinds to a halt.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this to happen? I doesn't happen on other sites I have built (by using e-cart)....

Thanks for your time,

Martin

a 500 server error message is a vague error, sometimes, you can get the real erro by adding the following code at line 1 of the page where the error is occuring, in this case pp_confirm.php:

php:
<?php

error_reporting
(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

once we know the real error, we can have a better idea of the cause.

when you come back to the pp_confirm page, what is the result of that code? does it show a more informative error message?

Hi.
Thanks for coming back to me.

When you go through to paypal, login, or add your credit card details, you never get back to the pp_confirm page - PayPal crashes....and yet with other shops I have built with e-cart, there are no issues at all.

Also, I have not made any custom changes to the PS3 code other than following the instructions in your pdf to change from dollars to GBP.

Thanks again,

Martin

when i test your site, it directs me to the pp_confirm.php page with the following error:
Warning: require_once(WA_Universal_Email/MailFormatting_PHP.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/linweb02/a/altonmodelcentre.co.uk/user/htdocs/shop/pp_confirm.php on line 19

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'WA_Universal_Email/MailFormatting_PHP.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /home/linweb02/a/altonmodelcentre.co.uk/user/htdocs/shop/pp_confirm.php on line 19

meaning that the WA_Universal_Email/MailFormatting_PHP.php file has not been uplaoded to the server.
