Imminent Lion Issue for Intel Macs

With the imminent launch of the latest Mac operating system Lion you should be aware that on an Intel Machine any WA extension the utilises the WebToPng utility will have issues as this utility requires Rosetta which will no longer be supported by Lion

Upgrade with care !

Is this the utility that generates the previews in WebAssist products?

Has there been any comment about this or when a replacement might be available?

Thanks, Dave. ...pt

We will be investigating possible solutions and replacements to our html preview. We don't have a replacement date determined at this time. All software should continue to work without previews and you can click to view the preview in a browser directly. Preview functionality is important to us, so we will definitely be searching for a solution for this problem so that preview can continue to work once Lion is released.

Could you give me an example of an extension that this would affect? I haven't had Rosetta installed for months and yet I still have browser previews when clicking on the Preview pane in CSS Form builder for example.

I am asking because I am about to upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion and wanted to make sure it won't mess with my workflow.

Thanks,
TroyD

Normally in the Interface it wouldn't just say "click to preview" it would actually show the preview without needing to open a browser window.

You are probably already experiencing the effect and don't realize it since you are still able to click to preview. It won't actually effect any functionality other than the ability to view the preview without clicking on the preview pane.

OH...I didn't even know what I was missing. Now that I do, my whole day is ruined. LOL.

Better yet, I have something to look forward to. Ok, now I feel better.

Thanks,
TroyD

I still haven't upgraded to Lion and was wondering if this issues has been addressed for Design Extender and Data Bridge. Are user interface previews available or do you still have to click to preview in browser?

not a big deal, but a fix is appropriate

I believe this has been fixed.

we have a couple people here using OS Lion that are reporting no issues with the preview.
