Center Text Vertically In Background Image

I would like to use a background image in the menu that is 70px in height. The link text currently sits at the top of the image. Is it possible in the css to move the text down toward the center of the image? Thanks!

It is probably just a matter of adding a margin-top to the css, but it really depends on the page design. Do you have a sample URL?
