content for user pages

Hi,
I purchased the user registration solution pack and frankly, I'm finding it not to be very useful without being able to have specific content for users when they login...or be able to create content for a user I create...

How can I do this? Or can I do this?

Basically, when I create a user (or edit a user), I want to be able to create content specifically for that user's page and ONLY for that users page...i.e. when user John Doe logs in, I want him to be able to read whatever message I have for him or maybe links to download stuff or even special instructions on how to perform a particular task...

Thanks...and here's to hoping this can be done!

It can be done, but it will require an understanding of creating mySQL database tables and queries to be successful.

you would need to create a new table to hold the content for the user.

the table would need to have a ContentUserID column. In the ContentUserID column store the ID value from the Users.UserID column of the users table for the specific user the content should be displayed for.

when a user logs in, a session variable is set that contains their ID named:
UserID

you can create a recordset using the $_SESSION['UserID'] variable to filter the ContentUserID column to return the content specific to the logged in user.
