Orders not being added to the database

Orders not being added to the database

I have installed the latest version of Powerstore and everything working fine with being able to complete a purchase with the order details passing to Paypal then returning to the site.

The problem I am having is that the order isn't being added to the orders or order details tables. Which I would guess also is stopping the order confirmation emails from sending out.

The permissions seem fine for the database as I can login with the details I used while processing the order and I can receive an email verification email and reply to it. When I login using the details I used to order it tells me there is no orders in this account.

I have checked the mysql database and there are no orders.

Can anyone help with this as soon as possible. Usual last minute job from a client and they need to be able to start selling tickets on their website as of today.

The website url is shop/

Many thanks in advance for any help given.

what paypal payment system are you using?

If you are using Payments Standard, this is not a real time payment gateway and the transaction may take a day to show up in the database. Also, make sure you properly set the IPN page in the paypal account so that when the transaction does go through, it will post the results to the correct place.

Thanks for replying.

The client is using Paypal payments standard.

Can you confirm where the IPN should be pointing to once payment complete? I assumed this was working fine as after payment had been processed it returned me to the correct page on the site.

I have tested again and I am taken back to an order confirmation screen where it has allocated an order number and sys a receipt will be emailed to me but no receipt and still no entry into the database regarding the order.

Another thing I have noticed obviously since there are no orders in the database is that the statistics are showing that no products have been sold through the site even though I have processed a few test live purchases.

for the address to the ipn page, see the power store admin panel under settings _> Payment Gateway settings.

The address will look like:

http://mydomain.com/ps_4_5/webassist/plugins/shopping_cart/ipn.php

the order info will not be stored untill paypal makes the IPN post to the IPN page.

like I said before, Paypal standard is not a real time payment gateway meaning that the ipn post can take as long as a day.

That's it working perfectly now. Thank you very much for your help. Can't believe I missed that!! Been a while since I've worked on integrating payments in Paypal.
