Have uploaded PowerGallery to website but cannot get it to work

Last year I uploaded my website including PowerGallery and it worked fine. Two months ago I deleted all the files on the server in order to upload an updated website. Now I have been having all kinds of trouble trying to re-install Powergallery without success.

I have re-uploaded PowerGallery and have experienced the following various problems:
* When the installation page comes up it says php is in safe mode and I should ask my service provider to switch it off. This I do then I get a clear php test.
*Then I enter the necessary server information and database details, but it then tells me I should use an empty database. So I create a new database, which I assume should be empty, but it again tells me it is not empty. So I try again.
*Then I suddenly find I am no longer able to access the installation page and I get this message: 'Server error The website encountered an error while retrieving 1.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.'
Then I repeat the whole process as above and arrive at the same end result. I just go round in circles getting nowhere.
I have contacted my service provider to discuss the matter, but they say I should ask WebAssist.
Can you help me break the logjam please?

Internal server error

Hi, I am also getting an Internal server error. I purchased The new version 2.00 today!
It occurs when I am in the 'Choose design' page and try to click on either Settings or Preview

In Power gallery 2, the admin pages are located in the admin_gallery folder, make sure you are going the v2 admin pages instead of the v1 admin pages in the admin folder.

Internal server error

Hi Jason, I can login and upload photos. From what I can see, I am using pages in the admin_gallery folder.
This site has a cms, i named that admin. then created a folder for the powerGallery called gallery.
This is where i chooose a gallery: choosegallery.php

The problem arrises when I wish to preview an album:
This is the link:index.php?gallery=1&theme=dark

at this I get:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
