need to add secure section to upload files and create library

I bought the Super Suite last year, but only have scratched the surface in using it.
Here is what I need to do.

1. Create a secure section (subdomain?) have a user login. Should be able to allow them to retrieve a forgotten password.
2. Once logged in, have a button to upload files. Need several types including pdf, .doc .jpg.
3. Have a folder structure to sort those files into.
4. Have a means to tag the files with keywords and who uploaded it.
5. Have a view of recently uploaded files
6. Have a way to search for files

Security Assist 2 users: Is it wise to invest in the upgrade before I start?
Which tools will I need to do it? What training resources should I start with?

Security assist will do 1 (you can manage access to pages so doesnt need to be a subdomain if you dont want to),

Universal Email will do 2

Data Assist could do 3 (by adding a database file category value for each file you upload you could filter your recordset to group your files rather than have them physically in different directories), 4 (using session variables you could upload the user information to state who uploaded it and also have a form for people to add keywords, 5 could show you the recently uploaded files in the results page if you also added a datestamp to the database on upload and then filtered the recordset, 6 a search function is also created by data assist
