Show prices including Tax (VAT)

Is it possible to have the prices with the Tax added. for example the price including VAT.

you can enter the prices with vat added on the products page, but you will not be able to show the total vat amount as a separate tax charge.

There must be a function that adds the tax's to the price on checkout. can i simply not use it on the product page.

I know tax is based on country/area etc but i was thinking of modifying it so if there was no country/area selected (they havent got to the checkout yet. i.e. there on the product page) then it would default to the UK. as all my clients wil be uk based.

Can you tell me where the SQL query takes place for getting the taxes.

you can either set the prices up to include tax, or set the prices so that they dont include tax, then set up the tax in the admin.

If you set it up to include the vat tax in the price, and set it up yo calculate the tax in the admin, then the tax will be applied twice.

adding the tax to the price in sot an option as companies who are VAT registered will need it clearly stated on the receipts etc.

I suppose i could just pull the tax rules from the DB and create a function to show the +tax price aswell

£100 ex VAT
£120 inc VAT
