Event Registration

I have successfully built my eCart pages (using the ecommerce database tables), including different options for my "products" which are actually events that people can register for. However, now I'm stuck. I need for each event that is added to the cart to be linked somehow to a registrant. For example, someone may go online and register to attend an event for themselves and two friends (so that they get the multiple registration discount). Obviously, adding the three event registrations to the cart is the easy part but now I need to attach each of these registrations to the actual attendee. Can you help?

in the cart object, add a FirstName and LastName column.

In the add to cart button, set these two fields to be updateable from text box

This will set the name of the person the registration is for.

That worked to get the registrant name into the cart with the registration but when there are quantity two of the same event only the first registrant's name is displayed. Is there any way to have both names displayed or have a new row inserted for each event and not add the quantities together?

Also, if I insert fields in my orderdetails table for the registrant's name, will it automatically insert the values into the databse or do I need to change something somewhere to make that happen? Thanks for your help!

set the first name and last names columns in the eCart object to be unique.

you willl need to also add new columns to the order details table, then on the confirm page, double click the eCart Store Order Details server behavior to bind the new database columns to the new cart columns.
