Dynamic DropDown List Menu to Text

Is it possible to convert the dynamic list comming from the database into the list/menu button to straight text.

When having the detail pages, I don´t want the text showing inside the retangular box, specially since some browsers behave different than others.

Is there any filtering to change that or some code.

delete the list. Open the bindings panel and expand the recordset binding group, replace the list with the binding for the corresponding column.

( I don´t think I explained myself well before)

Here is the scenario:

Category Table: cat_id, cat_name

Propertites Table: prop_id, (then comming from category table) cat_id(cat_name)

which is related in the list meny to show up the name from that category.


If I do that , that only gives me a direct text which in this case is a number related to the category table (showing which category name is)

I want the category name comming from the other table to be replaced as a NAME into the page instead the Number. and withoug having to use a list menu to link. I don´t know any other method.

you need to edit the recordset and create a joined query to return the related data from the second table. See the following page for more details on join queries:
