Is it possible to show Data Assist search results within the Power CMS2 pages?

Is it possible to show Data Assist search results within the Power CMS2 pages?

I could do with some advice, I have been following the gsg and have created a site structure with site sculptor, and have also created the Data Assist user pages,

I have a search by catagory feature, this enables search for all products from all the catagories required listed in my main site menu, I am now thinking it would save me a lot of work if I could display the search results also as the content for the main product pages for the particular catagory, as listed in the power cms menu.

Is there a way to display my data assist search results as the content for the power cms pages? I am thinking about using i frames but am not sure if this is the best way to go about it, I have several power cms pages that are based on a single template however I need to display different content on the dynamic pages, generated from the templates?

Is it possible to include the scripts to the power cms template page header and use the content editible area to define the results loaded and dynamicaly create the content for a particular page?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

you wouldn't do this using CMS Content areas, but instead, using links to the results page.

If you go to the search page and perform a search, make note of the address to the results page in the address bar, it will contain Query string variables for the search you jsut performed.

You can use this address including querystring variables as a link to return to those same results without performing the search.

Thanks for the advice Jason, I have several CMS areas I would like to use on each page for page specific banner rotation etc and have therefore had to come up with a solution

First I saved the results page as a template to base the pages on, I then cleared out all other html from the page leaving just the results repeat selection and results navigation, I then I deleted the search recordset from the results page, and cleared the assocated values from the repeat selection, I then had to amend the WADAproducts RS using the WHERE clause

SELECT ProductID, ProductSKU, ProductName, ProductPrice, ProductWeight, ProductCartDesc, ProductShortDesc, ProductLongDesc, ProductThumb, ProductThumb_1, ProductThumb_2, ProductThumb_3, ProductThumb_4, ProductThumb_5, ProductImage, ProductImage_1, ProductImage_2, ProductImage_3, ProductImage_4, ProductImage_5, ProductCategoryID, ProductUpdateDate, ProductStock, ProductLive, ProductUnlimited, ProductLocation, ProductCare
FROM products
WHERE products.ProductCategoryID='401'

Added the values from the WADAproducts to the associated feilds in the repeat selection, added some nice css and saved the page. I then opened up PowerCMS and included the page as an iframe I also had to change the results navigation links to target_top.

This method works allowing me to maintain my other cms regions.
