Country and State/Province defaults

Country and State/Province defaults

In the registratin form the country is set to US and Alabama as default. When you change to Canada the Provinces load.

In the checkout billing and shipping info form the country is set to Canada but the State is set to Alabama. You have to select a different country and then select Canada again to get the Provinces to load.

Is there anyway of setting these so they are Canada and Ontario by default.

users_registration.php
Thanks

It's okay I figured it out.

Actually I have just experienced that same issue! I am attaching screenshots to show you. When I proceed ahead to the billing and shipping summary, it shows up as Alabama on the billing and Alberta on the shipping.

Any idea what is happening?

I have strategically blurred out any person info.

Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin
In the webassist>>plugins>>shopping cart>>checkout_form.php do a search in the source code for US and change it to CA.
You should find the two lines below that show US as the country code.
Once changed to CA the problem was fixed.

$countryparam_Regions = "CA";

$countryparam_ShipRegions = "CA";

Hi Maplemac,

Thanks for the info. I found the line in question down on 154.

I changed US to CA and uploaded the file.

I have just tried testing it again and the country code comes up as Canada, but in the Billing Section the province comes up as Alabama.

I have to change the country to some other one and then reselect Canada then the province lists correctly.

I can also reload the page and it says Alabama again as the province...

There should be two instances to change one for country and one for the region.
Did you change both of them?

Jason ByrnesWebAssist

in the webassist/plugins/side_menu/nested_accoridon/sidemenu.php file, change:

<script type="text/javascript" src="functions.js"></script>

to:

<script type="text/javascript" src="../accordion/js/accordion.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="functions.js"></script>

if you still have problems, send a link where i can see your page.
