How to Make Tax, Shipping, & Currency Dynamic

Hi

I am building an e commerce website using eCart & Data Assist. I used eCart to make the checkout and cart. And Data Assist for adding products etc...

Firstly I need to make the Tax % Dynamic so that an admin can change the value.

Secondly, When the Admin adds a new product, I would like them to be able to define a unique shipping charge based on that product. In other words, just make shipping dynamic and unique to each product.

Lastly, I would like to be able to switch between £ and $ dynamically.

Thanks in advance..

I had a look at power store and I would like to do the tax and shipping like that.

I have managed to work out the tax and currency.

However I still can’t figure out the shipping.

What I want to do is make the shipping charge unique to every product.

In other works, when an admin adds a product or idem they also define a shipping fee which is added to the overall price and appears on the checkout pages

your products table needs to have a shipping column. In the admin, when you add a product. store the items shipping in that column.

then in the cart object, create a new shipping column

in the add to cart button, bind the cart shipping column to the shipping column from the products table.

create your shipping rule as as:
Multiple of column subtotal:
Subtotal of 'Shipping Column' 'times' '0'

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I have managed to do all but create the shipping rule.

I assume that to create the rule I need to open the ecart object window > go to shipping > Add

However I don’t see the options that you gave me.

Could you tell me where I am going wrong?

Thanks

multiple of column subtotal is one of the choices in the calculation section.

Ok I did it.

But Although the shipping Colum has a value, the shipping fee does not appear in the checkout

Don't know why

what did you use for a trigger?

You should use Number of Unique items in cart > 0

I used

Total Number of unique items in the cart > 0

Calculation

Based on mulitiple of colum subtotal

shipping times 0 plus 0

In the add to cart button behavior, did you bind the shipping cart column to the shipping column from the products table?
