No Mails sent AND Internal Server Error

I have just installed and tried to use Powermessenger
Everything seems to be set up fine but I have a few problems.

1. No emails are ever received but PM says there are processed OK
Previews, email verification, mail shots, or Spam reports nothing

2. Any time i try to use the users_registration.php to record a new user the following error occurs, although the user does get added to the database.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Regarding my installation

I have uploaded the files with Dreamweaver as recommended and CuteFTP and neither seemed to make a difference.

I assume that contrary to your instructions the files in the /PowerMessenger Files/ directory of the Zip should be uploaded to a /PowerMessenger subdirectory in the root (in my case /public_html/) and not directly into the root.

In the settings I have used 'mail.XXXXXXX.co.uk' as my mail server as well as leaving it blank neither seemed to make a difference.

I have checked via FTP program that the directory and file exist, and they do.

I have NO problems sending emails through a contact form via my site using PHP. So my server is able to send via the mail command.

The installation procedure showed no errors in database or other config

I am hosting on a reseller package so I have control over any settings.

ALL my other Webassist products work perfectly so I can only guess this is a tiny setting somwher that is stopping the mail getting out

Regards

Upload to root?

Do the files really need to be uploaded to the root? I already have a file named css/style.css; I already have an images folder. Can't the power messenger files be isolated?

You can move all of the files into a subdirectory, but Dreamweaver and webassist extensions won't recognize the database and server behaviors if you want to do any additional edits in Dreamweaver.

Meaning that the intent is for the Power Messenger file named "index.php" to overwrite my site's home page????

I'm getting that same error. Was there a fix?

What page do you get the error on?

"The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. "

This error could be anything, but if you can tell me when and where it occurs I might be able to give you some clues to the possible cause.

Yes sorry for the delay out on business.

Right after someone makes an account I get the 500 Internal Server Error

xxxxxx.com/PowerMessenger/users_registration.php?accesscheck=%2FPowerMessenger%2Fusers_profile.php%3F is the address I guess it should go to. Installation was a cakewalk and had NO errors or issues so I don't know what I could of done or didn't do for that matter.

Anyways the account goes through as I see it in the Admin as a user. I can even sign in but I do not get an email saying that I signed up.

Thanks

You can define your Dreamweaver site as a subdirectory of your main site and not overwrite your index.php page... you can also rename or delete the powermailer index.php page since it is not necessary.
