Trial Periods and User Access

Trial Periods and User Access

Does SA provide a feature in which limits the user from accessing specific information?

For example, I am currently using SA to limit user's access to certain pages on my site. Some of my pages provide valuable information and resources which I would like to limit to users under a trial period. I would like to know if SA can provide additional security limiting the trial user from accessing all the resources and information which may be made available to a non-trial user (i.e. form downloads, frequently asked questions, etc.).

Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for your reply.

Just to clarify...are you referring to the "show region" solution?

No, I'm referring to the entire user Level Authentication tutorial.

the show region section wont recognize the user level if the other parts of the tutorial have not been completed.

to accomplish user levels, you need to set the database up to assign user levels, you need to modify the login process and you need to create the user level rules.

once those steps have been completed, then it is possible to use the show region to only show info to certain user levels.

Jason, I have already established user levels and have also applied SA access to some of my pages. At this point, I am ready to apply the "show region" server behavior.

I have a page that lists a number of downloadable documents. However, the list is not in the form of dynamic data. Will this matter when applying a show region around the list of documents I only want trial members to see?

Ok, it was not clear that you already had user levels working.

The show region behavior can be used on either a static or dynamic list.

it will not matter that your list is not dynamic.
