login powerCMS

I am now having a problem with logging into my live site hosted by godaddy. I have set up a mysql on both my local testing site "which everything works perfectly" and on my live site with the exact same login and password. Login works fine on the testing site but does not work on the live site. Keeps bringing me back to the login screen. I have uninstalled the older version and downloaded the new beta version, have deleted the .dat file in dreamweaver and have deleted and uploaded files to the live server numerous times. Can't figgure out what else to try.
Thanks
Hal...

neilo

Your hosted (Godaddy) database would not normally have the same log-in details as your those of your local mySql (unless you used your Godaddy login details when you set up your testing server/mySql).

You will have created a database - via your Godaddy control-panel (& phpMyAdmin?) and the initial login will have been provided by go-daddy - username is often the same as your control panel login.

Look for mySql or phpMyAdmin in the control panel, and either check your mySql database details (databasename, user, password) or create a new database and user/pasword for the PowerCMS store to use.

Then your connection would be:

localhost
yourGodadddyUsername
your GodaddyPassword
YourGodaddyDatabase
