Payment issues

Hi,

Im having problems with getting the payment on my website to work at all, I have used the set up wizard from eCart so all the pages generated are from that.

Paypal quick puchase - this doesnt work at all, it simply goes to payment cancelled page, I have opened the server behavior to see what fields it is expecting and I *think* i have put all the fields in correctly, but as i say, it doesnt go any where.

Normal purchase - After entering the delivery address fields on the checkout page and click to continue with the checkout, it comes back with a blank page that just says 'Column 'OrderUserID' cannot be null'. I had toyed with the idea of changing the null value on the table column, but i followed this tutorial (creating_order_history.php) and thought i was more likely to mess up the order viewing process down the line than fix the problem.

Can you offer any assistance?

for the 'Column 'OrderUserID' cannot be null' error, edit the order table struction and set the OrderUserID column to allow nulls.

For the transaction failure, see the "Debugging eCart transaction failed issues" tutorial on the eCart support page:

Thanks

Iv managed to sort out the issue with the ID being null and still have it working, otherwise the quick paypal link still does not work, it doesnt return any error or value it simply redirects straight to the payment cancelled page, I assume it would be something to do with the settings in the server behaviour

Unfortunately another issue has arisen after managing to solve the null ID issue, even though my cart works in pounds as do all the settings I can find instruct the ecart to work with GBP, when redirected to paypal to pay for the site, it changes it to dollars, but it doesnt change the price, it simply changes the currency, so if it actually costs £30, it gets put through paypal as $30, might this be an issue with paypal rather than ecart?

Just thought about what would be happening by changing the OrderUserID field to accept null data, going off the tutorial on this site about making a back end database, it is using the OrderUserID field as a unique identifier to connect each order with its individual items associated with it. So if i make it accept null data which I assume the majority of the time it will be sending, there is no link between my order summary and its contents, I would need a method of ensuring that each new order summary has a unique ID field, and that each order detail associated with it, also has this value to link them.

No, the OrderUserID column is used to link the order to the logged in user who placed for createing an order history section.

The Orders.OrderID and OrderDetails.DetailOrderID is used to create the link between the Order and OrderDetails table.
