Dreamweaver CS5.5 and WA Extensions

Hi,

With the announcement of CS5.5 coming next month I was wondering whether you had an update on whether existing versions of extensions will be compatible with it and also whether you're planning any new extensions to support the mobile device features in it?

Ian,

I can confirm that DataAssist, Security Assist, Cookies ToolKit, Framework Builder, Validation ToolKit (CSS Form Builder), Dynamic Dropdowns and Image Resizer all work under CS5.5 on a Mac as expected

I will be using eCart shortly as well but I expect there to be no issues there either.

In general there should be no incompatibilities as DW CS5.5 is an evolutionary build, it is certainly more responsive than previous builds and the jQuery code hinting is great making it a nice upgrade for web professionals building dynamic sites.

Thanks for the feedback Dave - much appreciated - and good to know. I've got CS5.5. on pre-order - looking forward to being able to provide mobile applications to clients.

I spoke to Ray B last night and he confirmed that they are not expecting any issues with DW5.5

To Dave: beta tester then? Are you impressed with it? I have pre ordered too.

NDA applies, yes CS5.5 on the mac is far quicker / more responsive than previous versions plus the jQuery hinting is a big plus for me.

Great...thanks Dave. I am looking forward to many of the new features.
One feature was the mobile stuff. I spent about 2 weeks getting brain around it and now it will be built in ... very nice. jQ is a biggie now for me too, so looking forward to the integration.

Dreamweaver 5.5 and HTMLEditor 3.02

I suppose HTMLEditor 3.0.2 is for the moment not compatible with DW5.5.
Only on DW5.5 and sites with the extension I get the following message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /path_to_testfile.php on line 1

No problems on DW5.0

I am on 3.0.1, and CS5.5 and it works. I didn't even realize 3.0.2 was available. If anyone else is seeing 3.0.2 and CS5.5 incompatibility I'd like to know before updating. Thanks

Wish list: Dates on the updated files would be a big help.
